JALT TYL Positive Discipline Chat Lounge
In light of our experience with Positive Discipline Workshop for English Teachers in 2024, TYL Program chairs have decided to organize semi-regular online meeting opportunities for us to keep learning. It is called “P.D. Chat Lounge,” and is open for anyone who is interested in Positive Discipline in teaching English context!
[https://forms.gle/zdXPazYguoG3hk6Q6](https://forms.gle/zdXPazYguoG3hk6Q6)We would like to make it a casual event where you feel relaxed and welcome to join. We decided to have 5 sessions this school year, but they are not a course so you can come to just one of them, or as many as you like.
“Positive Discipline is a program developed by Dr. Jane Nelsen. It is based on the work of Alfred Adler and Rudolf Dreikurs and designed to teach young people to become responsible, respectful and resourceful members of their communities. Positive Discipline teaches important social and life skills in a manner that is deeply respectful and encouraging for both children and adults (including parents, teachers, childcare providers, youth workers, and others).”
